My baby is 16 weeks. The first 8 weeks he was on cow & gate formula and was doing great & then randomly started spewing the whole bottle so the health visitor recommended a anti reflux milk, the anti reflux milk made a HUGE difference and he didn't spew at all, recently he's starting to spew again, he takes 9oz and he spews about 2oz of it. Not vomiting but spewing. Is this normal? Or is it something to see the GP about?

I would.
It might be a dairy allergy and need a prescription formula or need other treatment for the reflux.

How much is the recommended amount of formula at his weight? We didn't move to formula until 10 months so not sure of 9oz is a low or normal or high amount. One thing I would say about reflux is it can cause comfort eating and that causes more reflux and the solution to that is to want more. During one reflux spike my daughter went from drinking 5oz of formula during the night to 20+Oz and desperate for more! all from comfort eating which caused her reflux to sky rocket. It took 3 days on being more regimented when she got a bottle to bring her amounts back towards a normal amount which took the edge off the reflux again and gave us breathing space to get her reflux meds reviewed
