My son is 16 months old beginning of December.

The health visitor has visited twice and has concerns regarding development.

Things the health visitor said are needing to be monitored are.

He hasn't waved
He doesn't clap
He doesn't point
He isn't saying three words.
He isn't hitting bricks together or has an interest in knocking blocks over.
Did say da da but stopped for a few weeks
Doesn't say any other words
Isn't walking and feet point 10 to 2
Nursery said he has settled well but isn't keen on other children been to near but is getting better
Doesn't understand or show any interest in toys that require understanding for example showing him how to put blocks in a hole - no interest
No interest in learning how to pour a cup of water at bath time.

Things he IS doing

Says Da Da occasionally
Crawling
Cruises all over holding on to anything to get about walking.
Will walk when holding his hand just not independently
Standing all the time loves to be stood
Taken four little steps seems to lack confidence
Loves cocomelon - hard to engage in other toys
Likes books
Gives good eye contact
Responds to his name
Smiles when smiled at
Eats a varied diet
Communicates when he doesn't want something or wants something by grunting
Understands language if I ask for a cuddle he rests his head on my shoulder
If I ask for a kiss he opens his mouth or goes shy and hides head on my shoulder
Responds when I say come to mamma
If he doesn't want a drink pushes it away with hands.
Plays Peak a boo by moving my hands away from my face but he doesn't hide his own face
Gets excited when I sing favourite songs
Sleeps well just wakes up once for milk
Loves bath time
Recognises familiar faces
Waves his hands up and down when excited (don't think it's a stim)
Easy to calm when upset
Good in public and loud places

We've been actively trying to encourage him to clap his hands by physically doing it for him, and saying clap your hands we sing to him all the time he loves songs

He likes lights, cogs that turn, turning pages on a book.

I'm beginning to worry that he isn't meeting these milestones. Especially since the HV said they're Red flags.

Has anyone else experienced similar as in late Development or early indicators for ASD or GDD

Nursery nurse has put in referrals for Audiology as he has glue ear
Referral for speech and language

Thank you for reading
