Pattern on child's leg when cold

Hi. My son has this pattern on his leg which is particularly visible when it's cold. Has anyone got any ideas what it is? I don't remember it being as large/noticeable a year ago. Many thanks.

Is it a net-like pattern on the top of his legs? If so look up Livedo Reticularis.
I once had this while I was recovering from ecoli in Hospital.
I noticed this on my legs and a dermatologist was called before my discharge. He said some peoples skin turns like this from the cold, and was probably brought about by being in an air conditioned room for 3 days. He also asked if I sneeze in the morning if it’s cold, which I do. Apparently it’s related. Just to add I usually have an olive skin tone.
I don’t think it’s anything worrying if his legs go back to normal once warm. But obviously mention it to your GP or health care provider.

I can't seem to upload a photo unfortunately but yes, that looks like it. Thank you! I'll do some reading.

Mmm, it’s difficult to tell. I remember mine being under the skin, if that makes sense, so not raised at all. Maybe ask a pharmacist? BTW I’m not medically trained in any way. Mine was on both my upper legs. I remember thinking it looked almost reptilian. 🤣
If it’s there all the time it is probably something different.

Hi Op, I have that on my leg - I have an olive skin tone (Italian descendant) and I found it very obvious as a child / young adult. It’s faded away now I’m an older but mine looks like your sons. It’s never bothered me - it’s just one large patch (about the size of a man’s hand) on my thigh.

Great, thanks both for your replies. :)

I have this covering one most of one thigh and the top of the other and occasionally on my lower arms.

For me it's always there to some degree but it worse in heat and worse but not quite as bad in the cold
