Dry cough every 5- 10 seconds

Hi all
My DD has an annoying cough which started a few weeks ago was treated with antibiotics and stopped but it's now back

This cough is dry but seems to turn into chesty I'm not 100% but gosh she coughs every 5-10 seconds for hours and hours. Last time the go wasn't too worried about this though.

Now she has a temp of 39 which is coming down slightly after calpol and Ibruorifen

Has anyone got any idea
How to treat?

Have tried elevating the mattress, nasal drops, humidifier in room , calpol , even cough medicine , honey , you name it. She keeps coughing constantly it's been hours and it feels like torture to us all. We haven't slept All night last night due to this annoying cough. She eats and drinks but the cough makes her bring it all up 😭

DS had something similar last year and the GP prescribed him with an asthma pump (blue). He was 4 at the time and it did help. We haven't had to use it for awhile but it's there if we need it.

Thank you! I did read that it could help lots. Hopefully we can make it through the night and get her an appointment with the gp in the morning. 🙏 xxx
