Small anterior fontanelle

Hi wondering if anyone has any experience of this. My baby just had her 6 week check and doctor thought her anterior fontanelle is a bit small. A different doctor checked at 2 weeks and wasn't concerned. Doctor said her head is a good size, she has good muscle tone and is very alert so she can't see any other signs that would indicate a neurological issue but she has referred us for a check with the paediatrician to be on the safe side.

I made the mistake of googling and lots of scary things come up, I just wondered if anyone had any experience of this?

General rule of thumb is that as long as you can fit a fingertip in the AF, it's fine.

Thank you, she didn't say how much of a finger she could fit in, just that it felt a bit small. But she also said baby seems fine in every other way and has no other symptoms that would indicate a neurological issue. It's still hard not to worry
