2 year old was screaming in pain holding his left ear this morning. We took him to a and e and the doctor said his left ear seems fine but right ear looks a little red and prescribed antibiotics.
When we give him paracetamol it doesn't seem to make a difference to the level of pain he is in.
He's either lying down on his left side or holding his hand against his left ear. He's in too much pain to not do either.
I don't think it is teething as he is eating well.
Does anyone have any experience with this situation? We ended up giving the antibiotics as wasn't sure what else to do.
