Child cough not eating

Hi all. My little girl is 3 and has had a cold and cough for a week. She has a really chesty cough but the phlegm is clear and no temp. She's quite lethargic compared to normal but has had odd moments of play. Issue is She's barely eaten in a week and what she has had I've had to almost force her to eat by threatening to turn cartoons off. Sounds mean but I'm so worried. Even chocolate can't tempt her. Every time she eats she coughs until she's nearly sick. Today she's had 1 grape, a fromaige frais, 2 forks of mash potato and a biscuit. All forced pretty much. She's drinking a bit but not as much, she's only done 3 wees today and it's bright yellow. I'm probably going to take her drs tomorrow but if they just say it's viral and they can't do anything then I don't know what I'll do to make her eat. She's losing energy from lack of food.

What about ice lollies? Like mini milks or icepole types. The latter I’ll help keep her hydrated. And if her throats sore from coughing they will
help soothe it.

Don’t try to force her to eat that will only make things worse.

focus on getting liquids into her but again try not to make it into a battle. Syringes of liquids can be useful as well as things like ice lollies.

could she also have a sore throat? If so something like difflam spray may help.

i think getting her checked at the GP makes sense

Second trying ice lollies. My DD survived almost exclusively on them when she had Chicken Pox.
