Tooth extraction recovery question

On Thursday my 7yo had 11 baby teeth taken out and one crown on a baby molar. This was done under general anaesthetic. She is not in too much pain now but it is really difficult to clean her remaining teeth as she is scared and cries. She is also really struggling to do any salt water rinses. Only managed 1 brief swill this morning, to which she said it was gross and she wouldn't do any more.

I'm a bit concerned because her breath is sort of whiffy but I don't know if that's normal after such a lot of teeth out or not. She's doing OK eating soft foods but again I'm concerned about bits of food getting stuck in the empty sockets and causing infection.

Can anyone advise if I need to push her to do the salt water rinses as it's causing her some distress. Typically it's now the weekend and there's no one at community dental. 🤦
