Worried mama, (with anxiety)

I’m hoping for just a bit of reassurance I have health anxiety myself so anything like this scares me and I can’t sleep.

my DS (10) the past few days has low appetite he’s normally a human dustbin, he’s had what me and the GP thought was ‘growing pains’ in his legs but when it comes on he says it’s like an achy feeling and all in his knees we only did a bit of shopping and a look around a few shops and he wants to come home.
we went out this evening to my sisters for a bit of trick or treating and some pizza, he managed one slice, didn’t touch his sweets, and within 30 mins of being home was fast asleep.
im usually begging him to turn everything off still at 10pm.
today he’s also been saying he has pain in the middle of his back.
he does have a GP appt on the 8th but I’m thinking to bring it forward?
im just looking for some reassurance/chat I guess.
if you got this far Thankyou for reading x

Hi OP. What a worry for you. Is he weeing OK? I’m thinking he could maybe have a UTI if he has back pain? I would call the GP and see if they have an earlier appointment, more of peace of mind. How long has he had the achey knees? He could be deficient in minerals and vitamins, which could be causing the leg pain. Ask GP for bloods but hopefully it’s nothing serious. Likely he’s just going through a growth spurt. I feel your pain with the anxiety. Love and hugs to you x

I have to say that sounds like ours just before a sore throat/Covid symptoms pop up…

Foreverboymumma · 31/10/2023 21:36

I think he is definitely going to the toilet, I’m sure. I will be calling the GP first thing for sure! I’m a worry wort.
the aches and pains in his knees/legs have been going on for Atleast a year or more but they come on after sports/swimming, or even just a food shop and a little walk around a shop, he just wants to lay/sit in his bed, he does ask for medicine and a hot water bottle when they come on and they do make him limp/not want to walk when they are bad.
He is asleep now, which is very unusual so I will see how the back is in the morning he didn’t even show any signs of tiredness. He had a hot chocolate when we got in, I went to his room and he was fast asleep.
Thankyou so much for replying to me x

@Poppsidoppsi hey thanks for asking, he’s actually okay, but he’s full of cold now but sounds like it’s all in his throat and further up his nose x
