Long story short-
My DD accidentally drunk from the wrong drinks bottle yesterday, the bottle belonged to a friend who is known to get coldsores. After the bottle mistake I immediately scanned my friends mouth- couldn’t see anything apart from a tiny what looked like a crack in the corner of her mouth.
obv didn’t ask if it was a coldsore because whilst we’re friends I’m not that close to ask that sort of thing.
Anyway, good people on here…. Anyone experienced this situation? What was the outcome? What’s the likelihood she’s going to get a coldsore? None of my husbands family get them and neither do mine so this is the first proper exposure, especially considering we’ve been through covid and haven’t mixed properly for years.
my sister is due to give birth in the next couple of weeks and I’m wondering how long it will take to come out if she has contracted the virus cos I don’t want to take my daughter to see the baby if she hasn’t come out in a coldsore but is in an incubation period and is contagious but not showing an obvious coldsore. Apparently you can be contagious in the tingle stage? My daughter won’t know what the tingle stage is because she has never had it before.
sorry for waffling on…. No matter how many different ways I Google this I can’t get a definitive answer… xxx
