Optional PCV Vaccine

Where I live, this vaccine is optional and is available only through private prescription. I asked the pediatrition, and he was very vague; said a doctor specializing in infectious diseases have the final say.

They are pretty expensive, but that is not my main concern. I am worried about how pharmacies get the vaccine and if I can trust them since they are not in the country's schedule yet.

What should I do

What vaccine is that?

Just googled and its the pneumococcal one. It's given at 12 weeks and 1 year in the UK

Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine helps protect against bacteria that cause pneumococcal disease. There are three pneumococcal conjugate vaccines (PCV13, PCV15, and PCV20).

PCV13 is available here, but a lot of parents in my city havent even heard of this vaccine.
