Infant Gaviscon - How much - Help

Hello, my little one is 3 weeks old and he's terrible reflux, we've been prescribed infant Gaviscon, have given him one sachet in his 4oz bottle and nothing has come back up - First time in over a week! I'm a little confused though, it says to add to every feed but then says no more than 6 sachets in 24 hours. He feeds every 3 hours so that's 8 times in 24 hours but if he's only allowed 6 sachets then I can't add one to each bottle he has. Should I be doing half a sachet or giving one every other bottle etc? Thanks

Not me, but my friend does it every other bottle?

Evenly spread the gaviscon over the course of the day in which ever bottle is closest to that time.
Try to do gaviscon in a bottle before a nap and bed time as when they are lying down they are more likely to reflux

It needs to be in each bottle to work at maximum efficiency (it’s not the same as adult Gaviscon).

I’m surprised they haven’t said to start with half a sachet in each bottle to start with as that’s always been the starting point with mine (3 of my 6 have been on it) and anyone else I’ve known us it.

Keep an eye out for constipation - it’s very well known for causing it.
