For context 9month old - Formula fed

Are they only on formula? If not it could be something they ate. When I had pale stools it was because I was eating loads of walnuts, not suggesting you are feeding baby walnuts but just using as an example. If you are worried call 111.

Wishiwasatailor · 15/10/2023 04:32

i agree get further medical advice likely to be something they have eaten but could also be related to liver issues

Strawberriesandcreammm · 15/10/2023 10:32

Hello they attended a sensory taste safe messy play so perhaps something they’ve eaten there? I’m not sure this is the second day of seeing it still plenty of wet nappies

I think this is quite
Normal variation! Have they been ill lately?

ClaraBourne · 15/10/2023 14:50

Wait until the green poo!

If you are worried, ask health visitor or doctor.

Maybe keep a food diary.

Pale stools always need further investigation

USaYwHatNow · 15/10/2023 15:14

Pale poo is absolutely NOT normal and needs medical advice straight away. Pale poo, like light yellow or a chalky white colour can be a sign of liver issues.

I think coming down with something slept most of today still eating drinking and normal in self with wake windows I’ve been told this may be a tummy bug as if it was liver I’d see more symptoms

Not sure...I've had two kids dealt with plenty of tummy bugs, never seen poo that colour before. I'd speak to GP or HV tomorrow.

Strawberriesandcreammm · 15/10/2023 22:47

His poo is now back to normal colour just slightly watery now! But GPS tomorrow morning to have a check

My DC often have paler poo when they’re fighting an infection but it’s never been as pale as that photo.

Hi OP — did you ever find out the cause of the pale poo? My 19 month old has had a poo exactly this colour.
