4 year old breast buds?

Sparkly12 · 14/10/2023 19:38

I noticed that my 4 year old dd nipples looked a bit swollen and almost puffy?
I tried to examine them a bit without making a big deal of it, and she has what feels like breast buds!?
I'm very worried and not sure what to do about this, has anyone else experienced this?

What is her BMI?

Sparkly12 · 14/10/2023 19:47

It's 16.3 and says that's a healthy weight?

Don't reply.

Sparkly12 · 14/10/2023 21:01

@TodayForTomorrow what do you mean?

Don’t reply with any experiences of this. Far too dodgy

Sparkly12 · 14/10/2023 21:06

@Ifyoulikealotofchocolateonyourbiscuit sorry that you feel that way, I totally understand. I'll call the Gp Monday instead

Some dc look a bit podgy just before a growth spurt so could be that. If you start noticing hair growth then get her checked by the gp.

Sparkly12 · 14/10/2023 21:08

@TeenLifeMum okay I will keep an eye out, thank you

My friends child had this, they were on a high soya diet due to allergy and it caused it. I’d see your GP

Sparkly12 · 14/10/2023 21:51

@ToussaintTheChef that's really good to know, thank you! I'm definitely going to call them on Monday, I can't stop worrying

I’m not saying you’re a troll. But being too descriptive in threads like this can attract people so just be careful

Sparkly12 · 15/10/2023 07:30

@Ifyoulikealotofchocolateonyourbiscuit looking back I understand, I wrote it in a bit of a panic yesterday as I was quite worried and getting other peoples experiences sometimes helps with that for me

If anyone is reading this in the future, looking for answers for your children..
My little girl has been referred to a specialist paediatrician on an urgent referral made by our GP. There are a few amazing support groups that I have joined on Facebook so if you'd like the name of them please feel free to message me ❤️
