Hey everyone ,

Does anyone know if there's an easier way to administer losec to my little girl? We put it in the syringe at the moment and draw up 5ml water but she absolutely HATES it. She screams the house down and is choking and gagging on it. Most of it always spills out of her mouth.
It's recommended to give on an empty stomach half hour before she's fed but seriously, that's just impossible cause as soon as she opens her eyes she wants to be fed !

We mix it with fruit purée on the recommendation of the pharmacist. Moved from liquid suspension to Losec tablets age about 4 months. Admittedly it’s super easy now as he needs to whole tablet (age 4) but we used to draw up the correct amount and then mix it in.

You can get it as liquid. It it's very expensive and tends to be only prescribed for kids who are tube fed. But worth asking your pharmacist if you can have it instead.
