Toddler flu vaccination with cold?

Hey, has anyone any experience of toddler having the nasal flu vaccination with a stuffy nose from a cold? DD has a cold, due vaccination tomorrow. Caes GP to ask if we can move it and they just said there's no other appointments. Didn't indicate if or when there would be.

Would you go ahead with the vaccination anyway or wait in case there's a chance of another appointment? I obviously dont want her to miss it but not sure how effective it'll be when she has a stuffy nose? Thanks.

Stuffy nose is fine, only delay if she has a temperature.

Bunged up nose is a no-no

The vaccine doesn't travel well through snot, and it's an important reason to delay. Other minor symptoms are fine.

Ring again and maybe ask for an HCP to advise on whether to go ahead (if snot levels have eased, there's no reason to postpone)

As long as she can sniff I think fine, especially as no other appointments. Make sure she doesn’t have a temp.

Thanks everyone. We went today and the nurse said if they stopped for every sniffle they'd never get them done. And she didn't seem too blocked up so we went ahead. Fingers crossed.
