Belly cramps IBD

My DD is 12 last month was diagnosed with IBD and is now on steroids for 8 weeks (10 days in) she’s on movicol daily but hasn’t been having a regular poo. On Thursday she had a really sore time going so I upped the movicol. Since overnight Thursday so Friday morning she’s not gone. Today she’s had a lot of cramps we have tried everything throughout the day a walk plenty of water and buscapan tablet (I know takes 12 hours) and nothing works. The pain is increasing the frequency of cramps and she’s only passed very slight hard pebbles.

I’ve just given her a suppository she really struggles to keep it in for 30 mins like the box says. I’m really running out of ideas I’ve also got prunes today for her to have.

she’s miserable on the sofa walking hunched over to the loo. Any suggestions on what else do to! I have ready about belly rubs but do they really work?

Contact the IBD nurses for advice. I always find them to be very helpful (2 kids with IBD at different hospitals)
