Worried about mole on daughters scalp

10 Yr old dd has had a mole in her hairline for a number of years. Have previously got it checked out. The GP didn't think it was anything to worry about, but I'm concerned it's gotten darker. There is a raised mole in the centre and a coloured patch surrounding it. The surrounding area is the part im concerned about. This would be left unseen if I didn't search for it and check on it because of its location. I will try and send GP further pics, does this look worrying to anyone please, the size, shape and colouring? Thanks.

My son has a couple of these on his scalp. I think they're called melonocytic nevi. It's always worth getting moles checked out just for your own peace of mind but these moles are very rarely sinister especially in children. My son's looked just like that as a child, he's 18 now and hasn't let me look at his scalp for many years! It's good that you've got comparison photos, I do the same. If your child is generally 'moley' it's good to have them checked out and also gets them into the habit of checking themselves when they no longer let you do it!

Thank you for that, that's very helpful.
