My twin boys born 11 days ago. At the hospital they did hearing check day 2 and found no response on both babies. Day 3 same result. Fast forward a week audiologist did 5 hour check with aabr check and pressure tested both ears. She said again she found no response on both ears of both babies.
She also confirmed no blockages in both ears. She said a follow up test is needed, but said it would have to be after the babies proper due date of 40 weeks, and not the 37 weeks due date for twins. She tested 1 frequency. I was just thinking what are the chances that both twins have permanent hearing loss? We are extremely worried and scared.
