Sharp ear pain

My DD 12 has her ears checked and wax removed last week. She’s got a cold today and has blown her nose causing share ear pain. Any ideas on going to call the GP first thing. She’s now scared to blow her nose

I am not medically qualified but I have had a lot of ear pain and this sounds as though it could be a middle ear infection or the result of pressure change in the middle ear due to some congestion. If not improvement then I would get it checked. I hope that your daughter feels better soon and the pain does not continue.

Sorry that should be 'no improvement'.

Thank you she woke at 4 asking for pain killers but woke up at 7 fine again. She has some pressure but nothing as bad as overnight
