Is this a cold sore??

Evening all,

Don't know if I'm being paranoid here so please help me out. Little one has had 2 weeks of nursery (3 days each week) and he's come home today with this on his lip. None of us have ever had cold sores so I don't really know what I'm looking for? What else could it be though? Just dry skin?

DS is 3.5 and has no other symptoms, not touching his lip and not unwell etc. He's very affectionate and has been kissing me all night.. 😬🤞

Looks like a dry/ chapped bit to me. Cold sore much more likely to start in crack of side of mouth and they hurt ☹️So very unlikely to be that I’d say.

Oh thank you. I'll keep an eye on it but you've reassured me. Cue someone else replies and says yes it's definitely a cold sore.. 😬😆
