Is this Chicken Pox?

Hi
I've only one child and DH is sadly no longer with us so I've no other opinion on this! I had Chicken Pox as a newborn so cannot remember, obviously.
All but the raised parts, disappear under a glass

Thanks all

Could be CP or insect bites. The warm weather has exponentially increased the insect population flying around my lounge. Assuming it's the same elsewhere

With CP often they are out of sorts for a few days before spots for no apparent reason- has that happened ?

Strangely no... Though DC never seems to be floored by any kind of sickness. Even with gastroenteritis as a 1yr old!
I don't think it's insect bites tbh as the second pic is on the chest. We don't do topless chilling generally.
Hmmm 🤔

Oh and first pic is on back of leg so even less likely to be insects. Though I did initially wonder about prickly heat? I get that on back of my legs but obviously haven't ever 'seen' it Smile

Definitely doesn’t look like my DC’s body at the moment, has spots that are a bit bigger, with clear fluid filled blisters. And my DC screams like there’s no tomorrow because of the itching.

How was he in the beginning?

Doesn’t look like chicken pox to me but no idea what it could be.

Forgetmenutcracker · 11/09/2023 19:45

Looks like keratosis pilaris to me.

I just looked that up and I don't think it's that but I'm not confident it's Chicken Pox either. I did think it could be Scarlet Fever but no white tongue.

Would you send your child in to school tomorrow like this? Given there's no accompanying sickness or fever? No other symptoms at all actually

Well off course, why not!
