Sore tummy before Poo?

hoping for
some
reassurance on this.
the last couple
of weeks my dd7 has been complaining of fairly regular sore tummies (about 1-2
times a day) and seems
to be linked shortly after to a poo that she struggles to get out, is this constipation related? Is it common to have a sore tummy before a poop if constipated? It’s probably the one health issue we’ve not yet had so looking for some experience and not googling!

Can't help on the constipation, but my 5yo is very prone to saying she has a sore tummy, especially before she does a poo or if she's hungry. We think it's just her struggling to put a word on those feelings and it's not sore as such, just the usual uncomfortable feeling when you really need to go (as obviously at 5 she's not interrupting her day unless she has to).

Ah ok thanks. I was a bit surprised
as it really did seem to hurt her and then she finally went for a poo and it passed. Thank you!

Sounds like trapped wind

Does she strain on the loo while having a poo?

My DC always complain of tummy ache so I will say “have you done a poo?” - straight after the tummy ache is gone. They are Coeliac but I have always thought it OK if they feel better afterwards - I know I do 😂
