Has anyone had a child with femoral retroversion and ideally someone with teens/adult DC, what has that meant for them?
My almost 2yo has just been diagnosed with this after already having it noted that lots of his joints are hypermobile. He was delayed at walking and his gross motor skills are still delayed comparable to his peers. We've been told he will be reviewed again in 12 months by the consultant physiotherapist (who is part of the paeds orthopaedic team) and that he may improve a lot by then. If he hasn't, it will be 'escalated' (not sure what that means). Also told the only treatment option if things don't improve themselves would be surgery on both hips which can't be done until he's at least 10yo.
It would just be good to hear from anyone whose been through similar about what the future looked like for their child.
