Recurrent utis in baby

MyHornCanPierceTheSky · 01/09/2023 20:24

My 4 month old has had utis basically since first diagnosed at 7 weeks, we've been in and out of hospital and on prophylactic antibiotics but this hasn't stopped him getting them, it's a different bloody strain each time.
He's been catheterised which helped but there's scans they can't do because he's not clear of infection .

Has anyone experienced this?

I'm currently going through this now! How did you get on?

Hi,.we.are still.on prophylactic antibiotics and have had desma scams, and mris. It's not a fun journey to be on so I do feel for you! You will always know your baby best and always make sure they send the sample to the lab not just dip it. We had several incidents where nothing showed in a dip but grew in the lab. X
