DD constantly unwell

For the last 2-3 months, 11 year old DD has been struck down with a virus roughly every 10 days. She is fine again for a few days and then back downhill again.

Is this normal as obviously during lockdown children weren't exposed to as many illnesses, is she just getting them all at once now? Or could there be any underlying issue?

Symptoms are:

High temp
Fever/chills
Vomiting
Severe headache
Sore muscles and neck
Eyes hurting
No appetite at all.

She has lost quite a bit of weight too.

Should I be taking to her to G.P due to the frequency of these episodes? They knock her for six and she just lies in bed sleeping for 4-5 days each time. I haven't taken her so far as DD has a huge fear of going to the doctor, I'm not sure why as she has never had a bad experience and isn't afraid of anything else. She also refuses to take calpol but I can just about get paracetamol tablets in her now. This evening she told me her neck hurt but she wouldn't let me look at it or touch her Sad

I would absolutely be taking my child to the GP with these symptoms.

Would trying some Rescue Remedy maybe help before the appointment? It’s the drops under the tongue and I have a couple of friends who swear by it helping when stressed before interviews etc.

Yes, I would always go to the GP if my DC presented with symptoms such as these and was not getting better.

Thanks both.

She has perked up today and has finally managed to eat something and keep it down. We have a G.P appt for Friday.
