UTI?

My DD7
has said a couple of times over last 2 days it’s sore when she pees. I didn’t do anything yesterday about it as she only said it once then seemed fine. But said it again tonight. No fever, tummy pain and well in herself. Could it be cystitis that if she drinks enough water it will pass? Or can a UTI be present without lots
of symptoms? I am prone to them but when I have one I’m in agony every time I need to pee and most of the time in between. Just wondering if it’s gp worthy

I’d be having a look first as she might not be wiping properly. Might just need some Sudocrem.

Thanks! I gave her a wipe and popped on sudocrem and gave her some nurofen before bed and she’s happily snoring away. I’ll see how she is in the morning with her first pee and maybe take it from there?

You could always catch it in a clean jar and see what it looks and smells like.

That way you’ve got a sample if you need it.

Oh good thinking! Yes I could do that first thing and then drop it into gp maybe just to be sure? Not sure if they’d test it without seeing her though 🤷‍♀️

No, but you’ve got it if you do need to ring and drop a sample in.
When I was a practice nurse I’d have dipped it for you, but that sort of thing doesn’t happen any more.
