My dd (20 months) has never slept well, and I am out of ideas. She wakes many times every night, it's worse now than when she was a newborn. She seems to have a a painful tummy when she wakes, she grizzles and needs reassurance up to 15 times every night. We've done lots of allergy testing, and she is doesn't have any dairy (which was flagged). We've tried gluten free, but it didn't change anything.
If we leaves her she gets distressed, and I think it's a mild pain that wakes her, so I don't want to leave her. Does anyone have experience of this? And advice?

Sorry no real advice. It’s normal for children that age to still wake a lot but obviously there does seem to be something going on there. Are you still under the care of the dieticians?

Thank you for replying. We are no longer under the dietician, just told to avoid dairy and sent on our way.
The GP just says it's digestive discomfort and she'll grow out of it. She is a good eater and is growing ok. She doesn't have much energy and get grumpy (I think because she is tired). When she wakes she wants to sleep, but if seems like something is stopping her. I can't wait until she can tell me!
I've tried a food diary, but there didn't seem to be any pattern.
