Orabase - any spare tubes lying around?!

Hi all

Before I begin - in the politest way possible, please no suggestions for other nappy rash treatments as trust me, we've tried them all!

My DD suffers with bad nappy rash and the only thing we have found that helps is Orabase. It worked wonders for her but it has now been discontinued and I cannot find any tubes anywhere. Does anyone happen to have any lying around that I could purchase please? Desperate Mum here!

I used to use it for a stoma, I ordered it online. Has it been discontinued online?

or a prescription from GP?

@Highflow

Yep out of stock everywhere. I even emailed the manufacturer who confirmed it had been discontinued (not sure when)? GP was happy to prescribe but none available.

I can't believe it as I only came across it at the start of this month and a very kind lady on a breastfeeding page sent me a spare tube she had and it worked miracles.

My daughter has a cows milk allergy (just diagnosed so waiting for it to get out of my system) and she goes to the toilet so often and it's making her bum red raw due to the acidity, but due to going so often we are pretty much out of the tube and it's starting to flare up again :( x

Oh that's hard! We had similar issues.

Not an alternative treatment, so hope you'll forgive- we found wiping with baby oil and cotton wool and never using wipes made a huge difference.

Try posting on one of the busier topics (chat; AIBU) and see if anyone on there has any!
