lump behind ear

I have a baby girl - 1 weeks today :-)

Yesterday I noticed a hard but compressible lump behind her ear.. just one.

I had a c section with forceps.

I spoke to the midwife and she said it could be from the forceps but to get it checked by GP.

Went to GP this morning, they said it could be a swollen nymph node and that she wasn't particularly worried but to go back in 3 weeks if it's still there...

I'm still really worried if it's something really bad.

Anyone else had this or have any advice?

TIA

Is it really small? Like smaller than a pea? My DS had one as a newborn. The GP wasn't worried and it went away. I still don't know what it was. I also had a section. Nothing ever came of it. He's 5 now

@OnSilverStars it's about the size of a pea .. thank you so much for your comment I'll hope it goes! X

@Mummytomybabies did you ever find out what it was!? My baby girl is a week old today (also c-sec baby) and I've noticed the same thing 😣

@autumngirlxo this is an old thread, but my DD3 has one that she had scanned earlier this year, and it's a fatty lump, and I have one behind my ear that I had scanned in 2019 and it's a lymph node, hope this helps 😊

@autumngirlxo Hey, my DD is 14 months now and she still has it. I literally mentioned it to the GP last week funnily enough and they reassured me again that it's nothing to worry about or anything sinister x

@Mummytomybabies thank you, that's reassuring! I have the HV on Friday so I'll mention it then too. Thank you and glad your girl is well :)
