Can you register a child at any dentist or do they have to be within a catchment area to register?

There is no such thing as registration on the NHS in England and Wales. If a dentist has capacity to see them you can take your child anywhere you like, providing the CCG , health board etc doesn't have a policy of only allowing people from certain postcodes (not common but happens in certain areas.).

NI and Scotland have registration and in some areas may be restricted to certain postcodes.

Hi, there’s no catchment area. If you’re looking for NHS registration you can register your child with any dental practice which is accepting new patients and is convenient for you as well.
