Just wondering when everyone stopped sterlising bottles ? My LO is 8 month old. Formula and breast fed. He's on solids too. He plays with my other little ones toys has his fingers in his mouth all time and toys. I'm just confused as aslong as bottles are washed properly and I still do LO s bottles with boiling water for formula I don't understand what the problem is ? Or am I missing something. Surely there's more germs on the floor when he's trying to crawl ?

My understanding is that after 6 months you only have to sterilise bottles that have held formula - something about bacteria that can grow or something?

I don't sterilise anything else now.

I sterilised them until I finished using them. Not sure why really but not long after I moved him onto cows milk at one I stopped using bottles.

My son is 10mo I just shove his formula bottles in the dishwasher now. Sterilised properly until about 8/9mo.
