So for some background. LO fed very badly the first few days of her life, midwife was concerned and sent us back to hosp for obs but thankfully we were given a clean bill of health! LO is formula fed, cow and gate, and uses tommee tippee bottles. As the weeks went on her feeding was getting better and better, although i suspected a reflux and after a discussion with her doctor she agreed and put her on carobel, we only use half a scoop per bottle so consistency is still thinish, this seemed to do the trick and LO was taking between 3/4 oz every 3/3.5 hours.

Then came the 8 week injections. She had her injections 11 days ago and since then her feeding has been awful. She doesn't seem to be hungry and will only take 2/3 oz every 4 hours if im lucky. Towards the end of the feed shes pushing the bottle away, wont latch on, getting very upset etc. i know after their injections children can be out of sorts but this is just like a different child.

HV was out yday and although she is up from her birth weight of 6lb 4oz to 9lb 13oz. HV suggested a milk protein allergy as her skin is also very dry. Has anyone had any experiences like this or have any suggestions on what to do? Im completely exhausted at this stage, i feel like i am failing LO and googling just sends my mind into overdrive.

The HV can't diagnose that, you need to see a GP. It is a possibility but go get checked by the GP and explain your overall concerns, ask them have a thorough look.

You're not failing btw. By paying close attention you're looking after her well and will be able to give the GP important info.

What size teat are you using? Could be that she’s frustrated with the flow of the milk.
