Teething?!

Hi guys.

So my little one is nearly 9 months old but -6 weeks for her corrected age. She's had on and off symptoms of teething (confirmed by Dr) since she was two months old, but nothing ever really came of it.

Until today. Today she put my finger and I could feel a sharp point where the little line is in the picture (if you can see that middle left bottom gum), so sharp in left an indent on my finger! She has been so irritable to the point of screaming more than she's ever screamed before on occasion today, and has been generally unsettled for the past few days.

Are we finally getting chompers?

Teething?!

This is where the sharpness is. Like a little razor! It's becoming more and more prominent as the day goes on too!

I’m a dentist, I think you’ll see a little tooth edge through by the end of the week!
Good luck, cold teething rings are a good help if they’re struggling.

Thank you! Honestly I think the tooth edge is already beginning to emerge. It's more and more prominent as the day goes on. But poor things going through piques and troughs of pain and then going back to her happy self. Got her teething ring cooling as we speak, it's in a long line of teething toys that are cooling with it, being swapped out every so often. Got a good system here!

Oh my! I'm so happy, I found this thread. I could have written this myself! I've had a grumpy little baby all day and felt a sharp what I assume tooth coming through this afternoon. Does anyone have a rough estimate on how long it will take for the whole tooth actually come through? And once it starts to poke through does the pain generally subside?

So we're still on little nubbin territory an But it's definitely grown and is more prominent when she laughs or cries. I am assuming it's broken through but she's having a bad teething day today. Couldn't tell you if it's the nubbin or the next door tooth finally waking up, though! Can't wait for it to just ease

Interesting! So it comes through pretty quickly. Feeding has become painful in the last day so I think hers is getting there.

She's ok, still no sign of any others, maybe a bit more tooth growth. Every so often she'll have a cry and be grumpy but she's chill. We had a big day out yesterday, so the poor thing is exhausted so slept through the night and is still asleep now!
