I have been back and forth to the GP for the last 2 months since my little one developed a rash on his cheek. At the same time he developed a round, dry, scaly, balding patch on the back of his head.
GP stated (finally) that cheek was fungal and prescribed Caneston which has almost cleared his face up. For his scalp GP is stating cradle cap and not linked to face! I Strongly disagree and i have felt since day 1 this is ringworm.
After some research i read he is too young for antifungal shampoo or oral antifungals, as only 14 months old.
Has anyone experienced similar in a young infact and how did you treat? Feel I am getting absolutely nowhere with GP and am going back next week to ask for a sample to be taken and tested.
