Looks like viral rash or heat rash

If it's non-blanching get it checked out

Thank you for your advice it means alot someone else said to me it could be a viral rash or a heat rash but I'm not even certain what he's ill with it's a waste of time ringing the doctors aswell because they don't give him anything for coughs and colds they tell you to just to let them fight it of themselves well my doctors does anyway but I will ring up again about that rash tomorrow xx

No worries hope you got on OK and he's feeling better. Yes my two developed that rash whenever they had a cough with the delightful accompanying phlegm. I think it's to do with the way their bodies react to the virus, and that's the thing if he's got a virus the gp hasn't got anything they can prescribe unless it becomes a bacterial infection. Did he have a temperature at all? It's anxiety inducing when they're ill, I had many sleepless nights worrying while they were sound asleep. The good news is, for me at least, as they get older it generally gets easier.

likely to be viral. Very common with the symptoms you say.
Reassuring that he is eating drinking and playing and I’m assuming passing urine.
there’s nothing to be given for coughs and colds other than symptom control such as paracetamol. Hope he feels better soon
