What’s this on my son’s leg?

Just to preface to say I’m calling the doctors in the morning for an appointment to discuss it.

My 10 year old has had this raised lump in his leg for a couple of months. We’ve been treating it as a wart but just today I’ve noticed that it isn’t improving at all and have been doubting whether it is a wart at all. It doesn’t hurt or itch or bleed. Anyone have any ideas?

Looks like molluscum to me. Though quite unusual to have only one after a couple of months.

Hope you get an answer soon x

I reckon molloscum too. If it is, a dab of of tea tree oil every day will sort it.

Another vote for molluscum. There's not a lot a dr can do with them. They are very contagious so if you have other children make sure they are not sharing towels or baths and that you keep surfaces clean. My daughter caught them from a toilet seat so keep those clean.

Stygimoloch · 07/08/2023 21:50

Thank you @jellymaker. Is it possible to just have the one? He doesn’t seem to have any others and most things I’ve read suggest there would be more than the one?
