DS had this mole since forever which in the last few weeks went from small brown mark to a larger more raised "warty" growth. It's on his cheek.
Because of his age, 14, , his ethnicity (half asian so has light brown skin,), I thought it was nothing to be worried about. I feel really bad about not taking it seriously before. I've had a lot of things to contend with recently with I'll parents so didn't give it a close look.
However, asked DH to take him to the GP last week as it's become much more prominent in the last couple of weeks. GP referral him urgently to get it seen, although was reassuring as it wasn't painful or itchy, so I guess to be safe.
Hospital contacted today for an appointment tomorrow but we are flying out to France for a week, and declined the appointment and now I feel terrible about it. Only away for a week and they said they will call back for an appointment when we are back. Hope this is ok and I haven't made a bad decision. The kids were so looking forward to the holiday and flights only go once a week so no chance of flying out later.
Argh don't know what to do. Nothing I can do really as tomorrow's appointment has been cancelled now.
This is a pic of the mole, if anyone has any experience of this?
