Hi can anyone give advice on any experienced side effects of omeprazole prescribed to a five month old baby?

No side effects at all with dd. We only swapped because ranitidine was taken off the market.

My dd was on it from 4 weeks old and has not long ago come off it no side affects here she's now nearly 4 years old x

No side effects for DD2 either, who was on it from about 6 weeks old, and it was very, very effective in stopping the reflux pain.

Same no side effects. Is it liquid or the capsules you're giving? What time do you give it at? Split dose or single dose each day?

My 6 week old has been given omeprazole from our GP to help with silent reflux. Others who have had the same - how long before you noticed a difference in your baby?

A huge improvement within days for us, but I think it can take up to a couple weeks to see the full effect.
