Rotavirus?

Hi- anyone got experience of rotavirus? Fairly sure that's what it is (nappies are yellowy pale and so stinky, mush to liquid it varies). We've had vomiting and diarrhea since last Thursday (over a week) and it just doesn't seem to be stopping?? The vomiting is pretty much done - only one or two proper vomits (a few instances of bringing back up milk after a feed, including last night, but not like proper sick). The diarrhea is relentless, leaks everywhere and eating seems to be making it worse. Doc did a stool sample showing no infection.

I'm getting so worried, it's been ages. He had weird nappies for a week before the vomiting started but at the time I assumed unrelated. I'm sure he's starting to lose weight- he's having milk at an ok level but solids is barely 1 meal a day if we are lucky.

Is this normal?? We've been off work for over a week already as he's usually in nursery. Please tell me this is normal and will end soon??

Sorry should add- he's almost 11months and we've both also had the vomiting side of things (plus several of our unfortunate friends who happened to visit when it kicked off!). Assuming we can't reinfect ourselves/them? Managed to get backsplash on my face when hosing him down earlier and now dreading a second round!
