Metanium and maybe try a different nappy brand. We've found kit and kin and beaming baby to be good for nappy rash (expensive, but for our first born absolutely necessary).

OneMoreCookieMonster · 24/07/2023 21:02

Was coming on to say metanium. Any drug store or grocery store will have it

Boots, any pharmacy or Tesco
It works wonders

QuacketyQuack · 24/07/2023 21:02

Just to add, baby could be teething, mine had nappy rash only when they were teething

Try the yellow metanium, when it clears move on to the white one.

You know I didn't think of that I've religiously used little angels brand in ASDA and last week I went in and they didn't have his size so I had to get his size but In pampers brand maybe this has caused the nappy rash but I've also been washing his bum in the bath with Johnson's baby wash just thinking it could of been anything now that's irritated him coming to think of it xx

metanium, applied in the thinest layer possible. Clean only with water and as much naked time you can manage.

If it doesn’t clear then it’s either allergic reaction or fungal and he will need cream from GP.

bepanthen is great to use to prevent a rash.

richteaftw · 24/07/2023 21:12

Yes, there's a yellow one which is for when they get nappy rash / a sore bum, and a white one which is a barrier, like a preventative. Both widely available.

I always say to my mums (I'm a HV) if yellow metanium doesn't clear it, it could be thrush, and to get some canestan.

Hope his bum clears soon, bless him x

Bellesjp · 24/07/2023 21:12

The yellow one treats it and white one is a barrier cream once it's gone to stop reoccurring, but like bepanthen

trampoline123 · 24/07/2023 21:12

Change back to the other nappy to see if that helps too.

My eldest only gets nappy rash when he's teething, goes red raw.

I find using water and cotton wool to clean, pat dry gently, thin layer of sudo and keep nappy off if possible - let it breathe

Bellesjp · 24/07/2023 21:12

Bit*
