Hey!!

My 6 month old has rapidly started to reduce her formula intake. She has never been a good drinker and I’ve always struggled to get a good amount down her. The HV says as long as she’s gaining weight (the typical response)! It’s now 8pm and she has only done 13oz today. I’m having to dream feed her every night but still she only does a few ounces. Shes having some milk in her food but there’s only so much I can put in (which is not a lot) and she’s only just started weaning so she’s not having more than a few spoons/bites of things.

It is really stressing me out and I can’t enjoy the last couple of months of my maternity leave because im just sick with worry!

anyone else been through this? Xx

What else is she eating? Have you started weaning? Real food or ultra processed such as puffs, straws, rusk?

My daughter was exactly like this. She gained weight soo slowly and her formula intake was terrible. She was still under 20lb on her forst birthday and now she's 9 and she is still very very thin. But she's fit and well and they always told me it's just how she is. I think her stomach is unusually small. She still eats very little and feels full. Try not to worry she will be absolutely fine. Some babies are just not that hungry. My son however well that's a different story. I cudnt fill him 🤣

Real foods! Not much though, she has a bit and then stops eating.

Hi I know this thread is old now but I am having the same problems with DD who is almost 7 months old.
@babygallagher what did you do in the end? Did the situation improve?
