Does this arm look to be healing ok?

6 year old broke their arm 3 weeks ago. Just been to fracture clinic today.

Does this look how you would expect after 3 weeks? Doctor said it was healing but 'might be a bit bent for a while but should straighten out'.

It just looks worse than I was expecting at this stage.

You're expecting rando's on Mumsnet to know better than the doctor who trained for years to read and understand X-rays?

Do people have to be so horrible about absolutely everything?

I think I don't want to just take everything as a given and I'm a bit worried that's all.

Hi. The shadow around the break is called a callous and is normal healing.

It's also fairly well in line (not overlapping) and so I wouldn't be worried.

It's actually a callus..

Just a little update!

It didn't heal properly, it's broken again in exactly the same place and my doctor friend is looking into it for me.

So I was right!
