Stomach bug?

Ok - I know no one can know, just asking for opinions really. It might seem like a stupid question but I've not had a stomach bug in literally as long as I can remember.

Can a stomach bug cause abdominal pain really low down, right in the pelvis? My DD (4 years old) just complained of pain there before being rather sick. She said she needed a wee, but after she'd been sick she said the pain was better and she didn't need a wee anymore.

She's had pain there before and we've had some issues with a couple of UTIs with her (the pain has been when she's had a UTI). But never sickness. Could it be a stomach bug with pain there? Or more likely another UTI?

Could go either Way I think but most likely to be a UTI I think if it felt better post - wee…I’d see how she goes overnight and hope she feels better soon xx

Oh sorry, she didn't actually wee I don't think. She was sick as soon as she sat down on the loo, but I suppose she might weed a bit while being sick. But after she'd been sick she said the pain right in her bladder area had gone and she didn't need a wee anymore.

She's asleep now. I'm sort of hoping it's a stomach bug, as if it's a UTI it will be her second in about 8 weeks, and she had some urinary issues about a year ago that seemed to just go away. So a bug would be less complicated (but more unpleasant for the rest of us!)
I spent a horrible night in A&E and then the children's ward with my younger DD when she was 6 weeks old and she had a UTI and needed 48 hours IV antibiotics and a kidney scan as she was so young. I know that was because she was a newborn but it's made me a bit neurotic about potential UTIs.

I so so understand as my son had kidney issues as an infant and I still jump when he
says something down there hurts - definite ptsd from hospital stays and scans and IV antibiotics so I’m very sympathetic 💞
I do think it sounds more like a tummy bug then If
she was sick as she sat down- you know how when you have a tummy bug
and you get cramps before you’re sick and then they stop once youve vomited, so I’d say it’s hopeful it’s that - especially if she’s not up saying she needs a pee and it hurts.

sending you mama bear hugs and a good night’s
sleep I hope xx

@wobblymum1 thanks. She slept all night and seems fine now. And DD2 has now been sick so definitely a bug rather than a UTI which is a relief (although I doubt DD2 agrees).
