Hey , my LG has been furniture cruising since she was 8 months. She can walk well holding hands / walkers etc!

She doesnt really stand up in the middle of the room on her own but I have seen her do it lately but only in the garden.

With a lot of encouragement she has taken 2 or 3 steps on her own but she usually winges if we try to get her to walk on her own.

I know allll babies are different but just looking for any similar stories and when your babies started walking please :)

(FTM worrier ahah)

Honestly she's fine. My DS didn't walk until he was almost 17 months. And my DD, while she took her first few steps at 13 months, took ages to properly get going after that. I think it was another 2 months and then one day my DH was with her and she just got up and walked out of the room!

Your DD is cruising, bearing her own weight fine and can take a few stops. It doesn't sound like it will be much longer!

Awww, she’ll surprise you any day and toddle after a toy or something. Both mine were exactly the same, didn’t really walk independently until 14 months and 16 months

My DS was the same! Cruising from about 8m and everyone said oh he’ll be walking soon. His first birthday came and went and nothing. He eventually started walking at 16m but even then he needed furniture to pull himself up still for a couple of weeks. Now charging around the house no problem. One thing I did, which is probably an old wives tale, was to lightly massage his feet each night. After a week he started walking but very likely a coincidence.

It's totally normal at that age. Don't panic until she is at least 18 months. Some kids are just more cautious and like to be able to do things well before they launch themselves into running!

She'll just get up and walk off one day! My eldest was the same, cruised for months and months and then walked around 15 ~16 months
