Temp returning after 48 hours..

DD is 4. Had a temp last Wednesday night, all
Day Thurs day & night. Fine on Friday day but temp returned in the eve. All day Saturday & Sunday fine. Put her to bed a few hours ago, she starts moaning in her sleep, feels really hot, temp is 38. Given Calpol & a drink, letting her sleep. I've known her have temps that bugger off for 24 hours then return but never 48. Is this normal?

I think you should call 111 in case it’s an underlying infection that could lead to sepsis.

38 is not terribly high. I don't think I'd be too concerned unless it goes up further.
My children definitely had viruses where they had a temp on and off, over periods of over a week, so I think this is pretty normal.
