Stomach bug

My 6 year old has a stomach bug and is throwing up a lot. Just giving her sips of water and even that is all coming up. I've got a 2 year old aswel and we tend to keep them apart to stop the spread ( not sure if that works ). But he happened to get a bottle of her juice and drank a few sips. Does this mean he will get this bug aswel..?? That's my first question.

I'm at my wits ends. How do you all cope with these matters when you have more than one child? Do you just let nature take it's course or do you seperate kids and does this work in preventing spread? I've tried my best in giving her her own space to relax etc and giving her company and going back and forth.
But my 2 year old is fast and just grabbed her juice that she has drank from in a blink of an eye. Im so anxious about him catching it now as he could get dehydrated etc he's still young. My 6 year old understands she has to drink even though she may not fancy it.

If you have more than 1 sick child that's vomiting what tips do people have to cope.

Is your 6 year old better now? I get really anxious about stomach bugs, so feel really sorry for you!

Fingers crossed your youngest doesn't catch it but IME they probably will if they drank from the same bottle while your eldest was still being sick. Not much you can do now but the good thing is that stomach bugs are short lived, so even if your youngest catches it, your eldest will probably be better by then so you should only have one sick child to deal with at a time. Good luck, it will be OK!

I do try to keep the children apart as much as possible with sickness just because I hate it so much. My eldest has only had one stomach bug since DD2 was born and she didn't catch it. But my eldest was only sick through the night, in her own room, while DD2 was asleep so it was quite easy to contain.

Hope you are all OK!
