Croup - Do they stay home?

DD had steroids for croup last night, she had it twice last summer as well.

I forgot to ask what the rules are for keeping her home. She's seemingly fine today with a mild cough (not barking). No temperature and eating etc.

Does she need to avoid children for 3 days? I'm sure what we were told last year.

It depends whether you're bothered about making other people sick I suppose.
But yes, the general advice is that they will be infectious for 3 days. Even though adults don't get croup they can still get sick too.

Thank you. My other DD has it now but no where near as bad as my 4yo.

We'll be having a few home days until they're both better x
