DD tonsilitis and I have a newborn

My DD has tonsilitis and has started antibiotics this morning. do I need to keep her away from baby? It says online tonsilitis isn’t contagious but virus that causes is like cold/flu etc can be?

It's horrible when it's like this OP you have my sympathy
Wash your hands after dealing with DD before you touch baby. Try to minimise contact between the 2 of them for a few days.
