So my little 8 month old has these spots that have just come up on his belly today, he also has a few on his back. No where else! He has had a cold the last few days, but does suffer with bad eczema too. Do these look like CP? They are flat and not raised! We are due to go on holiday in 11 days and i’m really panicking’

I would say it looks a bit like it and that's the likely place for them to start
However I'd expect them to be raised .
It could be a viral rash.. maybe slapped cheek . Keep a watch for rosey cheeks

It looks more like a viral rash to me, but if it is CP it'll be evident quite quickly. DD1 often got viral rashes with colds.

It looks more viral to me too to be honest. But as someone else said, you'll know by the morning! (Although that's not helpful.. sorry!)
We've had quite a few viral rashes like this.

I don't think so. Chicken pox spots are fluid filled and raised.

Thanks everyone!! i feel better that it really might not! It’s got worse since but not in a CP way i don’t think? His stomach has more large type patches but he does have 1 filled spot on his arm but the rest are flat and red under the skin? I’m at a loss what it might be really! was wondering hand, foot and mouth? Even though i know it’s only on his belly/back really but he has a few on his face now too!

Also as you all can gather i have no idea about the pox haha! So i am assuming if it is that i should wake up tomorrow and he would be covered???

Definitely not HFM, it's likely just a viral rash to be honest! Is it bothering them?
Yeah with CP it's often a few spots that blister and multiply. If you go on the NHS website it shoes you the type of spot and it's very different. Think it's safe to totally rule it out from that second photo!
